
Samuel Verburg

Samuel A. Verburg is an assistant professor at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). He is part of the Acoustic Technology group, Department of Electrical and Photonics Engineering, where he held a postdoc position from 2022 to 2024, and received his MSc and PhD degrees in electrical engineering in 2017 and 2022, respectively. Samuel research focuses on signal processing and machine learning for acoustic sensing and modeling. Samuel received the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) Early Career Travel Subsidies in 2024 and Young Investigator Travel Grant in 2022, the International Institute of Noise Control Engineering (I-INCE) Young Professional Award in 2020, and the International Commission for Acoustics (ICA) Young Scientist Award in 2019. He is a member of the ASA signal processing technical committee, and associate member of the IEEE, and the Danish Acoustical Society. His work is continuously being published in international journals and conference proceedings, and he is a reviewer for the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, and the IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech and Language Processing.
