Professor
KU Leuven
Edwin Reynders is Professor in Structural Mechanics and Building Acoustics at the Faculty of Engineering Science of the University of Leuven (KU Leuven), where he leads a research team focusing on understanding, modeling, and exploiting the dynamic and acoustic behavior of and loading on structures. Topics of particular interest include the numerical and experimental assessment of sound insulation and vibration-based structural health monitoring. He has served as principal investigator for several research projects funded by ERC, FWO, Vlaio and industrial partners. Besides his research work, he teaches BSc and MSc level courses on building and room acoustics, noise control engineering, probabilistic structural engineering and structural design.
