Anne Heimes has been a research assistant at the Institute for Hearing Technology and Acoustics at RWTH Aachen University in Germany since 2020. She initially worked on soundscape evaluation in virtual reality and contributed to ASKNOW, an open, web-based education platform for acoustics science. Since 2022, she started working on the measurement and modeling of surface scattering to enhance the accuracy of sound propagation simulations for her PhD. She has also been an active member of the development team of pyfar, an ecosystem of Python packages for acoustics research.
